Ring Gear Manufacturing Process
The Ring Gear is the main component of the ultra-fine pulverizer, and it pulverizes the material under the action of collision, friction and shearing with the high-speed rotating hammer. Suitable for superfine grinding of shrimp feed, extruded feed and other aquatic feeds.
The main production process can be divided into six stages:
1, Blanking
Roll a bar of steel into a coiled form, and then cut the entire coil into slices and separate each steel loop in the form of a ring. Remove the extra welding flash from the ring.
2, Machining
In this stage, turning is involved. Generally speaking, it can be divided into two steps. In the first step, the internal diameter is turned and the surface is finished. This step takes 1-1.5 minutes to finish. And subsequently, in the second step, the outer diameter and outer face are turned. The time spent on this step is as same as the first step.
3, Hobbing
Hobbing is the process of cutting the outer diameter of the machining ring into gear teeth with a tool named a hob cutter. Gear hobbing is finished on a machine called a gear hobbler.
4, Chamfering
In this stage, the sharp edges of the gear teeth on the clutch side of the gear are got rid of to avoid friction. The time needed in this stage is approximately between 1-2 minutes.
5, Debarring and washing punching
This stage involves getting rid of the loose chips of metal and washing gear with antirust oil. These activities need one minute to be done.
6, Induction hardening
The purposes of this stage are to increase the surface hardness of the gear teeth and control the depth of hardness to customers’ requirements.
