The raw feed should be squeezed out using non-corrosive oil when the ring dies is not in use, otherwise, the heat of the ring die will dry and harden the feed left in the die hole, resulting in the following consequences:
(1) When the pellet machine is turned on, the die hole is blocked, preventing the material from being extruded.
(2) The ring die undergoes a great deal of stress during production, which weakens its strength and increases the possibility of cracking.
(3) The ring die's die hole is partially blocked, resulting in lower pellet quality and yield.
The following tips will extend the life of the ring die significantly:
1) When the ring die has been in use for a period of time, check to see if there are any protrusions on the inner surface. This phenomenon can be resolved by grinding off the protruding part with a sander to ensure the output of the ring die and the lifespan of the press roller.
2) The material can be immersed in oil or boiled in oil before granulation if the die hole is blocked and it cannot be discharged. When it still cannot be granulated, use an electric drill to drill out the blocked material, then grind and polish with oily material and fine sand.
3) Avoid hitting the surface of the ring die with a hammer or hard steel tools when loading and unloading the ring die.
4) It is important to keep track of how the ring die is being used during each shift to calculate its actual service life.
5) The ring die must be stored in a dry and clean place. If stored in a humid place, the die hole will corrode, reducing the life of the ring die or causing undischarging.
